STIMU HISTORY

STI Myanmar University, previously known as STI Education, was established in 2006 and initially offered diploma programs in teacher training, business management, and English language. By 2013, the university had expanded to three campuses and had over 1,500 students enrolled. Due to its positive reputation, effective marketing strategies, and competitive edge, the university continued to attract more students. Today, STIMU has grown into a well-established academic institution with over 2,000 students and four faculties: Faculty of Business, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education and Linguistics, and Faculty of Health Science. The university has three campuses located in prime commercial areas of Yangon, and a new purpose-built building was opened in 2019 in Mandalay to meet the growing demand for quality education. In 2023, the university launched another expansion in Nay Pyi Taw to provide the youth with the necessary skills to become future leaders of society.
